Dedication of Highway 45 Near Columbus Air Force Base to Honor Last Surviving “Band of Brothers” Member, Mr. Bradford Freeman
CALEDONIA, MS – Mrs. Jane Kilgore is pleased to extend a heartfelt invitation to the public, as we gather to honor a true American hero, Mr. Bradford (Brad) Freeman. In recognition of his exceptional service to our nation and his status as the last surviving member of the famed “Band of Brothers,” a dedication ceremony will be held on October 12, 2023, at 10:30 AM.
The dedication event will take place at Mr. Freeman’s residence, located at 1952 Border Springs Road, Caledonia, Mississippi, 39740. This special occasion promises to be a fitting tribute to a remarkable individual who dedicated his life to the service of our country.
Brad Freeman’s extraordinary journey as a member of the “Band of Brothers,” the elite World War II paratroopers portrayed in Stephen E. Ambrose’s book and HBO miniseries, has left an indelible mark on American history. His unwavering commitment to duty and the sacrifices he made are emblematic of the valor and heroism displayed by all veterans who have served to protect our nation.
