Position Available – Park Board Commissioner

The Town of Caledonia has a Park Board Commissioner position available. The Park commissioner, who shall be a qualified elector of the Town of Caledonia or of Lowndes County, Mississippi and who shall not hold any other municipal or county office of honor or profit and be bondable.

The Park commissioner shall be appointed by the Board of Alderpersons. The Park commissioner shall not receive any compensation for their services. The commissioner shall be appointed with the staggered terms of from 1 to 5 years. The duties shall have the management and control of all parks, playgrounds and other recreational facilities maintained and established in or by the Town of Caledonia, and shall have the powers, duties and responsibilities fixed by law.
