NOTICE OF SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERPERSONS
OF THE TOWN OF CALEDONIA, MISSISSIPPI

In accordance with the provisions of Mississippi Code Annotated Section 21-3-21, notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Alderpersons of the Town of Caledonia shall be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 6:00p.m. at Town Hall, located at 754 Main Street (Side Door), Caledonia, Mississippi 39740.

 The subject matters of business (agenda) to be acted upon at this Special Meeting are as follows, to-wit:

1. Slaughter & Associates – open meeting for consultants to discuss comprehensive plan

This Special Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Alderpersons is hereby called by Mayor Betty Darnell on this, the 11″day of September 2023.

This Notice of Special Meeting was first posted on September 11th, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. on the front door of the Caledonia Town Hall, Caledonia Water and Sewer Dept., and Monroe County Electric Power Association.

The Town of Caledonia’s Mayor and Board of Alderpersons will hold a public meeting for the purpose of obtaining citizen input for the City’s 2023 Comprehensive Plan. The public meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Caledonia Town Hall at 754 Main Street in Caledonia. All citizens, business owners, and interested parties of the Town of Caledonia and the surrounding areas are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting for public input into the Town’s Long-Range Comprehensive Plan for the Town and the surrounding community.

The Comprehensive plan is a long-range plan for the physical and social development for the greater Caledonia community. We will be discussing such topics as: jobs, economic development, housing, schools & education, public safety, parks & recreation, street & road improvements, water & sewer, code enforcement, and any other issues important to the greater Caledonia community.
